TGIF and BTW, don't let TMI riddled with LOL's and OMG's ruin your chance at a GR8 WKD, 2nite and 2moro; whether U R ISO a new BFF or just TLC...I'm done, I can't be that hip any longer, but I can tell you where to find where all the cool kids in school ended up. The same place Echosmith would be today had she stopped wishing back in '13 and started making the year a lucky one at Upper Playground. They're so cool and counterculture, their wikipedia page is marked with the woeful banner announcing it "may rely excessively on sources too closely associated with the subject, potentially preventing the article from being verifiable and neutral." (Sounds suspiciously like a twenty-first century political version of antidisestablishmentarianistic thought to me — and straight from Wikipedia too! BOOM, used the weird word once hailed as the longest in our language, a word which could just be explained here as simply the ideals and efforts of the "establishment" and specifically its preservation.) Case in point, you'll have fun poking around this site, maybe even more fun than Pokemon Go...depending on who you are:
Like art? artsy stuff? artsy fartsy kinda things? locally painted with organic canvas stretched over gluten-free easels? This is a site for all those young first-time voters in United States who have former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders to thank for their recent-found political inclinations. Upper Playground's walrus emblem recollects the Beetles' '67 "Magical Mystery Tour" album's counterculture effect on the decade's sense of lifestyle; it also represents such revivalist ideals among many millennials' tastes today. Upper Playground offers everything from prints and pillows to T-shirts and a tickertape parade of indie-type artists from all over with styles from all over.
The US "left" coast intensive fashion company even has art galleries showcasing their creators.
This site came to my discovery list for Feature Fridays after discovering the butthole T-shirt (since removed) and desperately searching for which bizarre company would feature such an item. Here's the lucky winner, and now you can check it out for yourself: www.UpperPlayground.com. Ok, so this Walrus-sporting fashion company clearly won't forget to be awesome anytime soon, so this weekend and beyond, DFTBA either! B4N!
